The length of a rectangle is 29 centimeters less than six times its width. Its area is 42 square centimeters.

Respuesta :

Length = 6 times Width - 29

& we know that Length * Width = 42

 Let x be the width , then (6x-29)*x= 42

or 6x² -29x-42 =0

Solve this quadratic equation & you'll find that X = WIDTH = 6cm
