humans need a safe stable supply of water and food if a tornado were to strike down that area the area affected will suffer home loss, food, water all basic necessities 
A tornado is known to destroy objects in its path.

A strong tornado will cripple and destroy houses in its path. Water supply, water treatment, will be affected if it is in a path of a tornado.
