14. x - 1/5 = 4 2/5.....turn mixed number into improper fraction
x - 1/5 = 22/5....add 1/5 to both sides
x - 1/5 + 1/5 = 22/5 + 1/5 ...simplify
x = 23/5 or 4 3/5
15. x + 1/3 = 5 6/9
x + 1/3 = 51/9
x = 51/9 - 1/3
x = 51/9 - 3/9
x = 48/9 or 5 1/3
